Eastbourne United will be without influential skipper Lee Jules as they travel to Steyning Town on Saturday.
The centre-back has been crucial to United’s run of five games without conceding and played his 100th game for the club last Saturday.
Eastbourne boss Paul Daubeney has had the luxury of a full squad over that five-game run, but Billy Trickett and Peter Cooper will also be unavailable at the weekend.
Daubeney said, “These three players have been very crucial over recent weeks, Lee is a solid club captain and has helped keep the back-line tight while Cooper is an integral member, scoring 13 in his last 16.
“We will miss Bill who is a man-mountain in midfield, but we have enough depth in midfield to draft in a replacement.”
Saturday’s hosts were the last team to beat United in the league, but Daubeney sees no reason why his side would lose again.
He said, “Our aim is to go there and continue the run and get the win, we’ve got a good enough squad to win there.
The boss said his side were focusing on their game and past results would not dwell on the minds of his players.
“Last time out they scored two first half goals, but we came out and pelted their goal in the second half – we deserved something from that game.”
Last week’s result saw United climb to fourth in the table, Daubeney will be hoping his side can grab a sixth victory on the bounce and continue their formidable rise up the league.
