Hailsham Town boss Andy Goodchild refused to make excuses as his side were hammered 8-1 in the FA Cup by Molesey on Saturday.
The Hailsham Town boss said, “Despite eight players being unavailable there were no excuses for a poor showing by ourselves.
“Early individual errors hurt us badly and made it difficult to get back into the game.
“There were a couple of spells when we gave it a go and put them under pressure but quite simply they were much better than us on the day.
“I doubt we will play many sides that were so well organised and moved the ball so effectively this season.
“Their interchange and movement off the ball was outstanding. From our point of view we lacked aggression and defensive organisation.
“The only positive was that again we created afew chances but failed to capitalise on them.
“Molesey on the other hand finished many of the chances they created.
“Whilst embarrassing and humiliating to lose to such a high scoreline this maybe the kick in the pants we need to spark our season into action.”
Hailsham Town return to County League division one league action on Saturday at Arundel.
