Speaking after the match a delighted Tommy Widdrington said, “We were probably a touch unfortunate to go two-nil down but for them to react like they did and to score within two minutes (of the restart) you might say I’m good or that they listened.
“To push on and look like the team that was going to win and eventually run out winners comfortably is really pleasing,” he said.
Widdrington is optimistic about the coming season which starts next weekend with a trip to Weston Super-Mare.
On the aims for the coming season in the Skrill South, he added.
“I’m looking to take the club forward, when I came here the remit was to stay in the division and we did that, next season we were asked to improve on the 17 and ultimately I want to finish above that if we can.
“The difference with this season is the people I’ve got around me and if we can keep them all fit then I see us being a match for anybody in this league.”
