Tommy Widdrington refused to be despondent after his side conceded a late, late goal to draw away at Basingstoke Town on Tuesday night.
The Borough boss said, “We would have taken a draw away from home before the match.
“To be 1-0 down at half time and come back shows a little bit of character from us I think.
“We’ve taken four points from Basingstoke this season and we’re pleased with that.
“In their team, they had nine players who featured in their 3-0 win over us last season whereas we only had three - that shows we’ve moved on as a team.
“You have to look at the bigger picture and a draw was probably a fair result.”
