Striker Richard Pacquette insists they will be playing for pride and for their futures when they travel to Luton Town tomorrow (Saturday).
Boro’ face the Blue Square Bet Premier highflyers at Kenilworth Road and Pacquette is determined to put in a strong display despite having relegation confirmed during their 1-1 draw with Kidderminster Harriers at Priroy Lane last week.
“Luton are a top side, there will 6,000 cheering them on and we want to show that we are good players. The crowd will expect them to beat us easily but hopefully we can play well and frustrate the crowd.
“It will be a good occasion and we have to make the most of it because we will not be playing in front of 6,000 in the south next season.
“We have to put in a good performance. We are all playing for our futures even if it’s here or somewhere else.”
Boro’s leading scorer added, “Not counting the County Cup, I have 13 league and Trophy goals. I want to get that up to 15 or 16 so it looks a bit better.”
