Eastbourne Borough crashed out of the Sussex Senior Cup at the semi-final stage.
Ryman League South outfit Crawley Down inflicted a surprise defeat on Tommy Widdrindton’s side thanks to a 70th minute header from striker Luke Blewden.
Boro’s best chance of the match arrived in the fifth minute when Gary Charman powered his header from Matt Crabb’s corner against the cross bar.
But Crawley Down were good value for their victory as Boro’s created few chances of note.
Midfielder Jason Mason almost forced extra time at the death but his low free kick was well saved by Crawley stopper Mark Zawadski.
Crawley will face either Whitehawk or Brighton reserves in the final to be played at the AMEX Stadium in May.
