Eastbourne Borough manager Tommy Widdrington has been encouraged by the blossoming partnership between his top scorer Nat Pinney and recent arrival Jamie Taylor.
Taylor, 33, signed on loan from Margate last week. He has scored 39 goals for the club in a two-season Conference Premier spell from 2009 to 2011, and then in a brief loan stint in 2014.
He went straight into the first team for the 5-2 victory against Bath City and scored during the 3-1 defeat at Gosport Borough on Tuesday night.
Widdrington said, “I’m sure they will enjoy playing with each other and sure the fans will enjoy watching them.
“As a strike pairing they look good together and hopefully they can score many goals for the team.
“They look as though they are on the same wave length. Both are intelligent footballers and Jamie can read what Nat is about to do and vice-versa. They will link up well together.
“It gives us more options going forward and hopefully we can be a real threat in front of goal. We just need to make sure we shore up at the other end now.”
