Noone and Adlesbury bolster Borough squad

Eastbourne Borough manager Tommy Widdrington acted swiftly to bolster his injury-hit squad last week.

Defender Michael Noone has joined from Dover Athletic and midfielder Ben Adlesbury signed on from Truro.

Noone is a right-sided defender, who can also play midfield. He has also played for Ryman Premier Division side Wealdstone FC.

Adlesbury, 20, is a former Salisbury player and signed for Truro at the start of this season. He has moved to the Sports due to financial problems at Truro.

Widdrington said, “Michael (Noone) is someone I wanted to bring to the club last year and am very pleased to get him now.

“He has a background at the Glenn Hoddle Academy as well as his clubs and I know he will improve us in his position on the park.”

of Adlesbury he added, “He will bring a solidity, a physical presence, to the midfield, and a touch of quality also.

“He also has bags of experience for his age. Very pleased to have him in my squad for the rest of the season.”
