Eastbourne Borough Academy have made in to the Conference Youth Alliance cup final in their first ever season.
A 2-1 victory over Colchester booked their place , where they will face league rivals Maidenhead United at Gillingham’s Priestfield Stadium.
Toby Clifford scored twice to set up the final, which is set for the start of May.
Maidenhead will be no strangers, having beaten Borough twice in the league, but manager Jay Lovett thinks they have every chance and says he’s proud of his players regardless of the outcome.“It’s an unbelievable achievement,” he said.
“We’ve only been together a year and other teams have been for three. It’ll be tough but everyone starts on an even keel in the final.”
