Eastbourne Borough boss Tommy Widdrington is determined to make up for lost ground in the play-off race at Boreham Wood tomorrow (Saturday).
Borough were disappointed their Tuesday night’s game in Bromley was postponed following Saturday;’s painful home defeat to basement side Dorchester.
Borough have struggled at home against the teams in the lower reaches of the table. They have tasted defeats at Priory Lane to Tonbridge Angels, Whitehawk and Dorchester.
Widdrington said, “I don’t want us to look back at the end of season and see that those games have cost us a play-off spot. The lads are a close knit bunch and they have enjoyed the successes together this season as well as taking the bad results on the chin. We have to learn from those results but we also have to move on and remain positve.
“Boreham Wood is a crucial game for us now. I would say they are in a false position in table. Every manager will tell you their league is tight and anybody can beat anybody but seriously, this league is rediculous. look at the results this season, every side near the bottom has taken points from the top sides.”
