Simon Johnson has signed on for another year at Eastbourne Borough after playing a key part in their encouraging 1-1 draw with Stevenage last night.

Johnson, who has made 47 appearances for the Sports, scoring six goals, won the penalty for the home side that allowed them to deservedly equalise in the 85th minute of their pre-season friendly.

Johnson was a regular in the side’s midfield when they enjoyed life in the Blue Square Bet Premier and his retention adds to the number of local young talent that have already signed up for the club’s 2012/2013 campaign.
