Eastbourne Borough assistant boss Alan Kimble said Eastbourne Borough must learn from their costly mistakes if they are to mount a play-off push this season.

The Borough management were desperately disappointment to return from the long journey to Weston Super Mare with nothing to show.

Twice Borough took the lead, twice they were pegged back before they conceded a 94th minute goal.

Kimble said, “We have to learn from this and make sure this never happens again. We took the lead twice and we had enough possession to put this team away.

“We thought we had turned the corner with our last two results but unfortunately the problems arose again today.

“We know what we have to do to cut this out and that is what we will work on. We spoke to the players and what was said that will stay in the four walls of the dressing room but there will be consequences from this.”

Kimble added, “If we defend well as a unit and focus for 95 minutes then we have every chance. We have the talent and potential in the side but if you don’t defend as a unit then you deserve nothing.

“But we will get it right and when we do we will be moving up the table.

“We want to get in right for Tuesday. We will be looking for the real characters in the squad to stand-up after this one and show what they have. Tunbridge is a huge game for us and we want to see a reaction.”

Eastbourne Borough will welcome Tunbridge Angels to Priory Lane on Tuesday. Kick-off 7.45pm.
