Eastbourne Borough Football Club are inviting fans to go behind the scenes at Priory Lane at the club’s annual open day next weekend.
The event will take place between 11am and 2pm on Saturday, August 4 and gives fans of all ages the opportunity to see the work that takes place on and off the pitch.
Fans will be able to watch Tommy Widdrington and Alan Kimble lead the squad in a typical training session before getting the opportunity to meet the players and take photographs.
The management duo will later be grilled by the fans on all things football in a question and answer session in the Main Stand.
The club shop will be open for the duration of the event and those present will get a first glance at the new kit for the upcoming season.
Visitors will also get an access-all-areas tour of Langney Sports Club, including the Indoor Bowls Club and the archery section, before being given the chance to try their hand at the respective sports.
There will be face paining and a bouncy castle to ensure that even the youngest of Borough fans will enjoy the day.
Widdrington said, “It’s a good chance for people on the outside to see the work that we do on a daily basis.
“Alan and myself are still pretty new to the club, as are a few of the players, so it’s good to be able to offer fans the chance to meet us and talk with us. It’s important for a community club like ourselves to do that and, while not many of our players may be local to Eastbourne, hopefully after events like these they can quickly become fans’ favourites.”
