Eastbourne Borough manager Tommy Widdrington says the next challenge for his side is to produce top performances on a consistent basis.

It has been an up and down campaign so far for Widdrington’s men as they sit in 10th place in the Vanarama National League South having won five, drawn twice and lost four.

Supporters have witnessed the good, the bad and the ugly this season as Widdrington’s youthful side find their feet in a highly-competitive division.

Having suffered a 4-1 home thrashing by Margate, Borough responded well with a 2-2 draw at high-flying Oxford and then passed a stern FA Cup test as they beat AFC Sudbury 2-1.

Tomorrow (Saturday, October 3) they welcome 17th placed Concord Rangers to Priory Lane.

Widdrington said, “I want us to be a great team not just a good team on our day. To do that we need show we can be consistent and that is the challenge for us now.”

Nathan Collier is available after injury but Kane Haysman will have a fitness test on a calf problem. Nat Pinney, who has three goals in two games, is expected to start up front.
