Eastbourne Borough boss Tommy Widdrington refused to say a bad word about his players after the hard fought 2-1 victory against basement side Thurrock at Priory Lane on Tuesday night.
Boro’ were made to fight every inch of the way against the visitors who produced a decent display despite their lowly position.
Widdrington insisted he was delighted with his side’s endeavours particularly after Saturday’s energy-sapping victory against leaders Woking.
“The display against Woking on Saturday took a lot out of the players. But I was delighted that we kept going and a bit of magic from Charles (Ademeno) won us the penalty at the end.
“I won’t say a bad word about the players tonight.”
