Eastbourne Borough are trying to extend the loan spell of Crystal Palace youngster Alex Wynter, whose initial month-long deal ends this weekend.
The 19-year-old defender joined the club at the end of February and made his debut in the 1-0 loss to Eastleigh at the beginning of March.
Since then, Wynter has started every one of the Sports’ games, notching five appearances over the course of the month.
Boss Tommy Widdrington said, “We hope to be able to keep him here for longer but obviously it’s all in Crystal Palace’s hands.”
As it stands, the clubs are trying to clarify the exact date that Wynter’s loan period will end to decipher whether he will be available for Monday’s clash against Welling United.
