Hailsham Town boss Andy Goodchild said he considered resigning after his side’s 11-0 hammering at Horsham YMCA but feels he still has a lot to offer the club.
Despite the heavy loss, Goodchild has overseen a decent run of recent form and the boss is keen chalk it off as a bad day at the office.
“Resigning probably goes through your mind because you analsyse yourself and wonder what you could have done better,” he said.
“But I won’t resign after one game. If we’d been playing poorly in the build up and it had come to a head on Saturday I would have done the honourable thing and stepped down but we’ve had some good results and I’ve still got a lot to give.”
Goodchild’s side travel to East Preston tomorrow (Staurday) in County Division One.
