AFC Uckfield Town extend unbeaten run with Eastbourne United win

AFC Uckfield Town have now extended their unbeaten run to seven games with a 2-0 win over Eastbourne United away last night.

Eastbourne United started strong with a team that included former Uckfield striker Callum Smith pressing the Uckfield team in the first 20 minutes but the Oakmen soon found their rhythm and pressed hard.

The team were always pressing hard and soon after the break, Jack Samways smashed the ball against the bar, and substitute Wayne Clarke nets the ball with his first touch.

Soon after Wayne Clarke was pulled to the ground in the box and skipper Dan Perry made no mistake to score from the spot.

The young Uckfield team are beginning to be the team to watch staying top of the Sussex Combination Premier League ahead of the Saturday’s away game to Loxwood.
