LAST week I took my six-year-old granddaughter to watch the matinee production of Annie.
It was obvious how much work and effort had gone into this show but unfortunately the whole event was ruined by the lack of consideration from adults and children alike within the Devonshire Park Theatre.
It appears to me that many of the adults are unaware of theatre etiquette and therefore fail to ensure children in their care show any respect to the audience the performers.
My experience was spoiled by those who chattered constantly combined with the frequent and noisy changing of seats throughout the entire show.
Perhaps this behaviour is limited to matinee performances?
