Well done to these hard-working councillors

The clean up in Upperton
The clean up in Upperton

WELL done to Upperton.

I was delighted to read the article on page 17 of last week’s Gazette describing how the three local councillors were joining the community in helping to clear the area between Enys Road and Arundel Road.

The hard work by all concerned will have made a real difference to the surrounding area and the way in which people act in the future.

At a time when so much of our energy is taken up with work and our attempts to improve our personal circumstances, it is easy to overlook how a relatively small investment by a group of people can make a change we can all see.

I think all three councillors and their constituents deserve a big pat on the back.

Activities such as this can have a big impact not only on the way in which an area looks, but also how people behave including reducing anti-social behaviour.
