We don’t need new function room

REGARDING the replacement Seaford Golf Clubhouse. The proposed clubhouse is due to cost in the region of £1.3 million, why spend so much?

The town council’s argument is that they need a large function room to service the £75,000 per year repayments.

The present clubhouse is a pre-fab, so why not replace it with a new extended pre-fab with smaller function room and better facilities, at a fraction of the cost?

Therefore the repayments would be much lower, the council would still get an income and the residents of Seaford would have less of a financial burden.

Do the residents of Seaford really need a large function room when other venues within the town are struggling?
