Last week I parked my car in Broomfield Street, Old Town, to walk to the local independent shop at the Parade.

And what a hazard it was.

Contractors had been at work cutting down trees.

Where root had been exposed they had tarmac over them so one minute I was walking flat the next I was walking up hill and down the other side, it is extremely dangerous especially for people with walking sticks, partially blind, and mothers with buggies.

Every paving stone is broken and some sticking up.

At the corner of Broomfield Street/Green Street there was a very large tree, now taken down the roots are as big as tree trunks, this tree has saplings growing in the road.

The whole thing is a disaster and someone from the council should go and have a look at it, before the accidents start to happen.
