We recently had a holiday in Cornwall and as we returned home we could tell as soon as we had reached East Sussex by the poor condition of the roads. All around Devon, Cornwall, and Somerset the roads were in good condition, if they can do it why can’t East Sussex?
Golden Jubilee Way is now a series of ruts and holes where the surface is breaking down and is in need of resurfacing. Not only have East Sussex cut back on road repairs but also now have installed what seem like 40W lamps in the street lighting, consequently we are now in partial darkness at night.
If East Sussex must save money I don’t think they should cut back on the safety of residence or road maintenance.
