Thanks to the stoical taxi drivers that kept us going

I READ the article in the paper regarding the taxis with some dismay.

It seems to me that they are damned if they do and damned if they don’t.

Do the people not realise that out of 165 cars only 18 were operating under extreme pressure with very few buses running in the snow and ice.

So they should charge a little extra. The drivers were very helpful to me, carrying my shopping up the steps and coming to my home as near to time as possible.

Shame on you Eastbourne people - cut a little slack to these people who work hard and are the willing doing the impossible for the ungrateful.

In reality they kept people in food and on the road. Many thanks to the guys and girls for their stoic manner, most of the time with humour.
