On June 13 I sent an e-mail to Eastbourne MP Stephen Lloyd, seeking his comments on a problem that I felt is of national importance.
On July 4 I received an e-mail from his assistant, Jonathon Ward, stating, “rest assured that he ( Mr Lloyd) has your letter and you will receive a reply very shortly”.
As almost a further month elapsed, still without an answer, I then wrote to Nick Clegg on August 2, expressing my disappointment at Mr Lloyd’s tardiness. However, I stressed that I had no political axe to grind, as I do not belong to any political party. I did though, emphasise that being almost 80 years old, I do not submit such questions lightly, but that I do worry about the present state of our country.
Needless to say, I am also awaiting his response.
Therefore, to state that I am now extremely disillusioned with both of these gentlemen would be an absolute masterpiece of understatement.
