IT IS nice to see that moves are afoot to enable cyclists to enjoy the promenade at the Holywell end of the seafront, and I would like to thank all involved in organising this.
There is, however, another stretch of the seafront that could be put to use straight away – from Fisherman’s Green to the Langham Hotel.
Some years ago this was trialled as a cycle path, and voted against.
It is a quiet stretch of the front all year round, and the line markings can still be seen.
So why can’t they be re-painted, and the few signs taken down?
It would be minimal cost, and would open another stretch of the seafront to families to enjoy the fresh air and exercise that cycling brings.
