Perhaps Herald could publish county salaries?

I READ with interest the intention of East Sussex County Council to turn the lights down in Eastbourne ‘in order to save money’ - as revealed in last week’s edition of the Herald.

May I suggest initially they make public, via your newspaper, as authorised both under the Freedom of Information Act and the instructions handed down to them by the Coalition Government, the gross salaries currently being paid to the top 25 employees of the council indicating their designated office.

It is arrogant for East Sussex County Council to assume all of the residents of Eastbourne have computers - though it is a good way to keep such information from many thousands who would like to know the facts.
