Panto looked wonderful

It took local star Tucker as Chester the Jester all of two minutes to get the kids going at Devonshire Park’s panto Sleeping Beauty and along with Eastbourne’s favourite Dame,Mr Martyn Knight in his ninth year, here adding to the fun.

It was sad to report that the star of the show Bernie Nolan was unable to appear due to illness. I am sure many of you know that she is fighting cancer for the second time around in her life. I am sure that everyone wishes her a speedy recovery. Her place was taken by Katy Day, born to be evil, with a cracking performance.

The show looked wonderful, the songs and the cast’s singing and dancing were on top form and, the second half had a wonderful special effect of which this small theatre should be proud of. All in all a super day or night out.
