Panto a breathtaking extravaganza

EASTBOURNE Cultural Communities Network (ECCN) recently took 18 mixed nationality families to see Cinderella at the Devonshire Park Theatre to introduce parents and children to this traditionally English culture.

Children’s ages ranged from three to seven and families originated from Poland, Nepal, Thailand and Africa.

For most it was their first visit to the theatre and certainly to the pantomime.

Amazing costumes, wonderful singing, plenty of audience participation and a flying horse and carriage - this was a breathtaking extravaganza.

The fast flowing and hilarious script - interspersed with modern songs - was expertly acted by all the cast.

We were delighted to be able to share this very British family entertainment with our members who experienced the high calibre of what Eastbourne has to offer.
