NHS Trust figures don’t add up

ONCE again I read, with dismay but not surprise, the shambolic financial state of the East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust.

So, the PCT “gives” the trust £14m; but the Director of Finance says £22m needs to be saved and, in order to do this, 46 beds will be cut at a time when more houses are being built in the area with more people in Eastbourne and the potential need of more beds rather than less!

Apparently a surplus of £2.8m is to be delivered.

This is so Mr Grayson can have a massive payout when the board finally realise it’s time he went?
