MPs should motor ahead with A27

In the last week I have read everywhere that the CBI now says Britain’s ageing road structure is stifling investment and the Government is to speed-up infrastructure spending.

Stephen Lloyd admits the A27 is a disgrace. Eastbourne and Polegate finally have two MPs in Government. Why is improvement to the A27 between Lewes and Polegate not top of the infrastructure spending list?

Turning this road into a dual-carriageway would surely cement the Liberal Democrats future as MPs for Eastbourne and Lewes/Polegate for decades to come.

So why is nothing apparently being done about it?
