LAST Tuesday I was lucky enough to attend Willingdon Community School’s production of Little Shop of Horrors.
It was evident from the outset a huge amount of time and effort had been taken in getting this production from the page to the stage - and the programme reflected that more than 50 students were involved.
The production was professional, slick and very watchable, and the set design and construction excellent.
I lost my heart (even though I shouldn’t!) to the various ‘Audrey IIs’ which were cleverly constructed, and very funny!
The band (also made up of students) played with energy and enthusiasm and sounded toe-tappingly great.
Miss K Pester (director) should be very proud of her production, and in particular her work with a cast which brought the piece to life. Particular praise should go to students Matt Ginno, Rachel Brett, and Mcauley Parker who were outstanding in their roles.
Congratulations to the entire ensemble, and thank you for a hugely entertaining night out.
