From: Jean Marchant

Faygate Road

I can not praise our ambulance service and A&E enough for their prompt help and services when my husband Michael Marchant had a severe stroke just over six weeks ago. I came home late afternoon to find him on the bedroom floor. After dialling 999 the ambulance came promptly.

After arriving at A&E the medical team started checking Michael straight away and after a scan etc.diagnosed a hypertension brain haemorrhage and he was transferred to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton where he again received first class care which included life-saving double brain operations.

He is now at Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath, on rehab. My thanks to all concerned as without them all it could have been a different story. With all their help Michael should make almost a 100 per cent recovery even though it will take quite a while. My biggest thanks to everyone for their prompt and professional service. People are all to quick to criticise the medical profession and forget to give praise when it is well earned. Thank you.
