LETTER: The kindness of strangers

On Wednesday, December 23, I was taken ill in Sainsbury’s, Hampden Park. I want to thank two members of the public who came to help me. One was a lady who is a doctor and the other is a trainee nurse.

They came voluntarily to help and were very reassuring, looking after me until the ambulance came. Thank you to both of these anonymous helpers, I am most grateful for your help.

Thanks, too, to the Sainsbury’s qualified medical lady who took charge of everything.

It is so good to know that there are people who just give of themselves to help others.
