I would like to thank through your paper some people who helped me. On Wednesday April 8 I had a fall going from Willing don to Polegate. A lady with a buggy and two car drivers stopped to help me. The lens had come out of my glasses, my lip was bleeding and my cheek swollen up. They helped me up and offered to get an ambulance or give me a lift. Luckily I was OK to walk into Polegate.
In Polegate I went into the opticians where the dispensing optician had a look at my glasses and cleaned them up. I then went over the road to the Downlands medical centre and asked if I could see someone to look at my eye. I saw the nurse who was very helpful and also a doctor who checked I was OK.
Thank you to all theses people. I had a really awful black eye which got lots of comments but apart from that I was OK.
