LETTER: Students welcomed – but not their swearing!

“Eastbourne welcomes Language students”.

But do we welcome their inconsiderate and ill-mannered behaviour?

If the language school organisers/tour leaders could prepare the students before letting them lose in town life would be so much easier for the residents, particularly the elderly.

Daily one encounters a group of anything up to 50 students blocking the railway station concourse, completely oblivious that the public frequently need to cross to one of the four exits.

They don’t use the area marked “meeting point”

The situation is no better in town either.

Daily one encounters a large ‘gang’ of students completely blocking the pavements unaware that there are people around wanting to pass.

Perhaps someone will understand what we have to cope with and do something about it.
