On reading the letter about the state of the streets in Eastbourne, I have lived here all my life, some seventy-odd years, and in all that time I have never seen a more disgusting state the streets of our town have become.
Some of the streets at our end of the town have not seen a road sweeper in the last six or eight months.
There is so much litter, it is a wonder we’re not inundated with rats. There are drinks cans everywhere, food wrappers, and may I add dog mess. What is wrong with the local council by letting the streets get in this disgusting state. Can somebody gee up the council and bring our town back to the good old days when streets were clean and tidy please.
