We are informed that the cauldron at Calais, known as The Jungle, has grown to more than 9,000 people all intent on reaching Britain. What is the attraction?
These prospective illegals believe, quite correctly, that once here they are almost certainly here to stay, the possibility if being sent back being negligible.
They also believe, again quite correctly, that they will be housed, fed, and given money by British taxpayers.
The answer is blindingly obvious, as it has been for years. All persons entering Britain illegally from France must immediately be sent back to France, openly and obviously.
The time for obfuscation has long gone, and the people of Britain are fed up to the back teeth with the pussy-footing that has gone on for years, with politicians pretending that they are, in any way, concerned. In addition, any foreign driver found with illegal immigrants on their vehicle, must have their vehicle confiscated.
Quite obviously, there must be clear deterrents to illegal immigrants and people smugglers. Everyone knows this apart from our politicians.
