I am following developments regarding the pier with interest. In common with many other Eastbourne pensioners I am concerned that we might be expected to pay an entry fee for the privilege of walking round it. For those who live near enough that could put a stop to a daily walk round the pier. Surely Mr Gulzar will be able to raise revenue from the various attractions he is planning, which will appeal to tourists and young children.
