LETTER: Nowhere safe for pedestrians

With more and more cyclists riding their bikes on the pavement and along the seafront – and now the government looking at legalising pavement parking [Herald, December 11] – there’s going to be nowhere safe for pedestrians like myself to idly wander, thinking about not much at all without being totally alert all the time. How boring!

Consider the state of the pavements now. What are they going to be like in the future?
