While taking my dog for a walk, on the lead as per the summer byelaw, I was confronted by three muscular, lycra-clad cyclists about to pass me at the corner of the prom by The Redoubt. I calmly pointed out that this was a no cycling area and was sworn at. When I remarked on the language used I was sworn at again [more graphically].
If this is the cycling fraternity then I suggest they should not be sharing the prom. These were not youths but obviously middle class men in their prime. I went home a sadder woman, wondering what my future walks would be like if the cyclists have their way.
