It will be a great shame if the proposed plan of moving the existing benches and seats adjacent to the car park at Fort Fun goes ahead.
I am a regular walker along that part of the seafront in the early evening and find these benches and seats often in use.
You will appreciate that at that time of day, this area get the last of the sun. Locals know this and so often you will see a family having a fish and chip supper, or just enjoying the sea view in the evening sun.
The alternative to the proposed plan would be for the beach huts to be erected on the prom adjacent to Fort Fun’s boundary fence, therefore leaving the benches where they are.
