LETTER: It’s Thanks To You day

As Childhood Cancer Awareness Month comes to an end today (Tuesday September 30), CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading cancer charity, for children and young people, is holding its Thanks To You day.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to you and your readers for helping us to raise awareness of the impact of childhood cancer and for everything you do for children and young people with cancer, and their families, not only during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, but all year round too.

Whether you’ve held a bucket collection to raise funds at a local shopping centre, bought a gold ribbon, or taken part in one of our flagship events, CLIC Sargent wants to thank you for standing by the thousands of families coping with the devastating impact of a cancer diagnosis and its treatment. Thanks to you, CLIC Sargent provided more than 6,600 children and young people with cancer, and their families, with vital emotional, practical, financial and clinical support, in the last year. Every penny you raised, every hour you gave, helped us to achieve this goal and changed the lives of young cancer patients. Whichever way you have supported us, thanks to you. We think you are amazing. We would love for you to join with us to share the thanks on Thanks To You day. If anyone has helped you raise money to support our work, given you a lift to your fundraising event, or encouraged your volunteering for CLIC Sargent, please thank them from everyone at CLIC Sargent. You can get involved by saying thank you via Twitter using the hashtag #Thankstoyou or via our Facebook page www.facebook.com/clicsargentuk
