A major issue is being neglected in this year’s General Election. Can Eastbourne have democracy?
We, a town of 100 000 people, don’t control our DGH or our schools or the infrastructure of road and rail. When did this happen?
Surely candidates should be arguing for a break away from the County Council and look after the interests of Eastbourne and the families that live here.
There is the farce of the A27 probably substantially improved by 2025. Would any sensible company invest in a cut off town ?
What about the building of a new primary school in the wrong part of town and the downgrading of the DGH and all the anxiety of getting to the Conquest?
Why are we being left behind?
