LETTER: Holding back the economy

We are concerned that many of our fellow Eastbourne residents will be adversely affected by the Government’s plans to cut tax credits for working people.

This would create a situation where many workers will struggle to make ends meet. It will not only penalise those trying to provide for their families, it will also hold back the improvement of our economy.

We urge our local MPs to take note of the damage that the proposed tax credit cuts will do, and to convey our concerns to the Chancellor of the Exchequer.
