LETTER: Hit-and-run death of a fox

To the insensitive person who hit a fox with their vehicle around 11.45am on Wednesday (June 15) in Prince William Parade and left it convulsing, bleeding and dying in the road I wanted to say that after many cars had slowed and had the decency to drive around it, the poor creature was collected by myself, wrapped in a blanket, removed from the road and eventually safely taken away for decent disposal.

I do hope that if you ever need someone to help you they do not all turn and walk away as you did. We are all God’s creatures, whatever form we take.
