LETTER: ‘Ghetto land’ on the old streets

Reading the Herald recently brought back many happy memories of when, as a child, I lived at 39 Pevensey Road right opposite Brown & Son. It was a fascinating shop full of all kinds of different furniture. Sad to think its another part of Eastbourne to go. When I lived in Pevensey Road all the houses were kept lovely with hanging baskets etc because most were guest houses where the holidaymakers stayed.

Now, with Langney Road, Susans Road, Seaside Road etc, it has become ‘ghetto land’. Is this what happens in the 21st century?
