On Tuesday, May 26, just before 8am I was in the line of traffic approaching Langney Footbridge when someone got out of their car to look at something in the road. They then got back in and drove off.
When I got to the spot I noticed an injured cat lying there. On closer examination I found it was just alive. l got it to the vet as soon as possible but unfortunately the cat died.
My point is people can’t help knocking cats down but surely there was no need to leave it in the road. It would have been easy enough to move it to the side of the road or take it to the vet as we did. We want no thanks but did not expect abuse from passing cars.
