LETTER: Do I have a case for complaint over train doors?

I travelled to Polegate from Eastbourne by train on my birthday, March 18. I was with friends and we got up in reasonable time at the station, but didn’t press the door button in time for it to open. I bashed frantically away at it and the train guard refused to help. He refused to let me pull the emergency cord, probably with good reason. We all ended up in Berwick and had to call an emergency taxi to Polegate, with a 10-minute wait. The taxi driver charged us £10 from Berwick to Polegate, which we thought was a bit unreasonable. Do I have a case for complaint here?
