IS IT not time that Eastbourne Borough Council reverted Treasure Island back to what it was - park, putting green, rest area.
The monstrosity that replaced it - with ghastly signage and awful buildings is an affront to the town and should be demolished.
The golf at Princes Park seems to have closed and I notice that the one-arm bandits have been removed from the former.
This would be an ideal spot for people to relax right by the seafront. It wouldn’t cost that much either.
Both Treasure Island and Fort Fun are dated and tacky. This is not Brighton where any tacky building seems to be allowed.
Why not make it part of an invigorated fishing area with it being so close to the boats and angling/fishing clubs?
